Moose brought down a hovering helicopter (moose was maimed)

Weird Facts
You hear many stories lately of helicopters being brought down in the wars going on but I have never heard of an animal bringing down a hovering helicopter which is just what happen last Saturday.
The moose was shot with a dart by Kevin White who was in the helicopter but instead of the moose being tranquilized it got very angry and charged at the chopper, managing to damage the tail rotor in the process.
The helicopter which was in the south-east of Alaska, then crashed to the ground but neither the pilot nor White were injured.
Unfortunately the moose was seriously maimed and had to be put down.
This is a true story (Source) but how do you feel about the outcome, as we feel they should have kept more of a distance to stop this sad outcome
