Arrange Marriages have always been known to be part of India’s culture but it is a social ill that continues to shame India.
Why? Well nearly 45% of women in the country, aged between 20 and 24, are married off before they reach 18 which just happens to be the legal age to marry.
arranged marriages are not the social ill. arranged marriages just mean that the parents look for the spouse. the shame is that parents, although mostly in rural areas, marry of their children before they are of age.
